O atual estágio estou eu e a produção Corpo Rastreado, além de Natalia Barros, interlocutora. Ainda não sei (neste momento) quem mais vai estar próximo, mas certamente haverá mais gente.

Sinopse

“Ensaio Sobre a Árvore” é um ensaio poético, um olhar particular, parcial e provisório sobre nós e as árvores, seres magníficos. Trata-se de um trabalho solo em processo, no qual o artista busca pensar e dançar com elas, em diálogo com o tempo e o mundo. Ensaiar, aqui, é mover-se como quem pisa num terreno úmido, como quem compartilha uma mesma terra, deixando-se atravessar pela vida que nela pulsa.

Synopsis

“Ensaio sobre a Árvore” is a poetic essay, a particular, partial, and provisional gaze upon us and trees—magnificent beings. It is a solo work in process, in which the artist seeks to think and dance with them, in dialogue with time and the world. To rehearse, here, is to move as one who steps onto damp ground, as one who shares the same earth, allowing oneself to be crossed by the life that pulses within it.

TRANSCRIÇÃO DO ÁUDIO: Oi! “Ensaio Sobre a Árvore”, é um ensaio poético, quer dizer, uma experimentação sobre a minha relação com as árvores, algumas coisas que elas me ensinam e um pensamento de como dançar com elas.

Esse solo fez parte do projeto “Amores Vegetais e a Morte”, que a gente fez, que a Cozinha Performática desenvolveu no ano passado, 2025, com o apoio do Programa de Fomento à Dança.

E ele tá em processo contínuo, cada vez que eu faço eu vou mudando alguma coisa, experimentando um jeito, experimentando outro, e essa é a ideia pra essa Farofa.

Além disso, Eu estou trabalhando com microfone, com projetor, alguma luz, e eu falo e eu me movo e canto.
Acho que é isso sobre esse trabalho.
Qualquer coisa, me digam.

Transcripton: Hi! Essay on the Tree is a poetic essay — that is, an experimentation on my relationship with trees, on some of the things they teach me, and on a reflection about how to dance with them.

This solo was part of the project “Vegetal Loves and Death,” developed by Cozinha Performática last year, in 2025, with the support of the Dance Promotion Program.

It is an ongoing process: each time I perform it, I change something, try out one approach, then another — and that is the idea for this Farofa.

In addition, I’m working with a microphone, a projector, and some lighting. I speak, move, and sing.

Artista do corpo, entre São Paulo e Lisboa, Marcos Moraes dirige a plataforma colaborativa artística A Cozinha Performática; também atua como docente e produtor cultural. Integra o coletivo de artistas da Penhasco Arte Cooperativa (Lisboa). Colabora com o Selvagem Ciclo de Estudos Sobre a Vida. É formado em Letras – Inglês pela FFLCH – USP (Brasil). Está desenvolvendo o projeto Amores Vegetais e a Morte sobre as relações com não humanos, especialmente as árvores, e a passagem do tempo.

Short biography

A body-based artist between São Paulo and Lisbon, Marcos Moraes directs the collaborative artistic platform A Cozinha Performática; he also works as a teacher and cultural producer. He is part of the collective of artists at Penhasco Arte Cooperativa (Lisbon) and collaborates with Selvagem – Ciclo de Estudos sobre a Vida. He holds a degree in Literary studies – English from FFLCH–USP (Brazil). He is currently developing the project Amores Vegetais e a Morte, focusing on relationships with non-humans—especially trees—and the passage of time.
